CapyKit Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 18, 2026
This privacy policy describes how CapyKit handles information.
Information Collection
CapyKit does not require account creation and does not intentionally collect personal information directly from users through the app.
Local Processing
CapyKit’s desktop effects and overlay behavior run locally on your Mac. Visual effects such as drag trails, snowfall, falling leaves, notch companions, and dock decoration do not upload your files or desktop contents to us.
Optional Diagnostics
CapyKit includes an optional telemetry setting for anonymous usage and crash diagnostics. This setting is off by default until you opt in.
- If you opt in, CapyKit may send an anonymous boot event and app version information.
- These diagnostics are not linked to your identity in the app itself.
- Standard network logs such as IP address may be received by the server when that HTTPS request is made.
Third Parties
CapyKit does not include third-party advertising, social sharing, or user-generated content features.
Children’s Privacy
CapyKit is a general-audience macOS app and is not directed specifically to children under 13.
